What Does GMPP Major Guard Cover?
It's as simple as this: if it's not on the very short list of what's not covered, it's covered! For years, millions of Major Guard customers have known that, "From the engine to the trunk lock, if it breaks - or even if it just plain wears out - and it's not on the list of the few items not covered, Major Guard will help pay for the repair - Whatever it is!
What is not Covered?
Maintenance services and parts, physical damage, glass, lenses, sealed beams, light bulbs, and tires. Components not installed by the factory including cellular phones, theft deterrent systems, or air conditioning (if factory installed they are covered). Bumpers, sheet metal, body panels, and parts (they are covered under your vehicle's insurance for damage). Carpet, hinges, trim, upholstery, convertible or vinyl tops. Air and water leaks, wind noise, odors, weather-strips, squeaks, rattles, paint, rust (GM vehicles have 6 years or 100,000 miles rust thru coverage under GM Manufactures Warranty), carburetor (most of today's vehicles are fuel injected which is covered) , throttle body assembly (except fuel injectors which are covered), contaminated fuel system, exhaust system (most of today's vehicles exhaust's are stainless steel and do not rust out), catalytic converter (GM vehicles have 8 years or 80,000 coverage under GM Manufactures Warranty), brake rotors, brake drums, shock absorbers (most of today's vehicles have struts which are covered), and batteries (many batteries have a separate warranty for up to 6 years). Everything else is covered!

What Else Does Major Guard Cover?
Extended Roadside Assistance - General Motors Protection Plan - Major Guard provides 24-hour "No Cash Needed" towing and roadside assistance. Major Guard will authorize towing or emergency road service for any disablement of the covered vehicle, or will reimburse you up to $50.00 for these expenses. Benefits include towing, flat tire change (using your good spare), battery jump, out-of-gas fuel delivery and locksmith/key service.
Alternate Transportation - GM Protection Plan - Major Guard will pay the charge to rent a replacement vehicle or pay for public transportation alternatives, up to $30.00 per day and a maximum of $150.00 per repair visit, whenever the new vehicle limited warranty or Major Guard-covered require 2.0 or more manufacturer's labor time guide hours or cause your vehicle to be inoperable and kept in the repair facility overnight.
