How Do I Verify My Odometer

You MUST verify your current odometer reading for us to process your GM Protection Plan (GMPP) – Major Guard Application. We will hold your GMPP application until we receive your odometer verification. Choose one of the methods that qualify below:
a.) If your Vehicle is Brand new (
b.) If you were just at your GM dealership for GM warranty repairs in the past 2 days a copy of the repair order (forwarded with your application) will verify the odometer reading.
c.) If you just purchased a used vehicle with in the past 2 days your Federal Odometer Reading Statement (forwarded with your application) will verify the odometer reading.
d.) If you have your ONSTAR monthly report that lists your
odometer reading that is
If none of the above applies use method e. below:
e.) Take today’s newspaper (or something with a date
on it) and place newspaper on steering wheel and take a picture of both the
newspaper and odometer reading in same picture. Then E-Mail the digital picture
to gmpp@gmoutlet.com or mail film
picture to address shown below (please add your last name to the E-Mail
text/body so we can match the picture to your GMPP Application). Please do
NOT fax a picture as we cannot read it.
